Young Scholars Summer Academies

About

The Young Scholars™ Program has been in place since the Lang Lang Foundation’s launch in 2008, making it their longest running initiative. The Foundation operates with the conviction that music is a universal language. They believe that the power of music can unite people across cultural and national divides, bringing messages of inspiration, tolerance, and acceptance to a global audience.

In 2024 Young Scholars from the U.S., China and Europe attended a Summer Intensive week of music study at the Cleveland Institute of Music under the direction of LLIMF Artistic Advisor and CIM faculty member, Maestro Antonio Pompa-Baldi that included sessions in piano technique, pedagogy, and master classes. The week culminated in performance featuring all 15 Scholars at CIM.
